The continental drift is the displacement of the continental mases some with regard to others. this hypothesis was developed in 1915 by the German Alfred Wegener from diverse observations, but it was not up to the decade of the sixties, with the development of the tectonic one of plates, when the movement of the continents could be explained in an adapted way.
